Hello Tippers! LeTip Chester County East, the premier networking group of Chester County, held another great meeting…lots of laughs at the meeting:o)
SPEAKERS: Dieter Enz of SLCI (painting contractor and color specialist) and Susan Dykas of eBernie, Inc. (computer & technology consulting).
1st Speaker: Dieter provides color consultations and painting services for your interior and exterior needs. Spring is in the air! Check your front doors, porches, exterior windows and sills, as well as garage door frames. If you see chalking, flaking, blistering, bubbling, bare wood, exposed gaps, or mildew growth, then it’s time to get Dieter-ized! Also, as of April 22, new laws and standards set forth by the EPA require painting contractors and home remodelers to follow specific rules when working on buildings built prior to 1978. Dieter will have the license. Send your home and business painting leads to Dieter!
2nd Speaker: Susan provides a variety of computer / technology services and solutions for small to mid-sized businesses. She discussed the following select solutions that can be setup for clients: 1. Remote Desktop Support; 2. Virtual Private Network (VPN) and/or Network / File Sharing; 3. Online Backup; 4. Antivirus Maintenance; 5. eFax; and 6. Magic Jack to setup another “phone line.” A good lead for Susan is a growing small business that needs expert assistance in setting up and/or maintaining a secure technology infrastructure. A good lead is a law firm, accounting firm, doctors’ office – from one employee up to 50.
TIPS: At this week’s meeting we circulated 16 tips total! (1 inter-chapter, 4 inside and 11 outside tips). Go Tippers!

March 2, 2010 – Good times at LeTip Chester County East continue!
SPEAKERS: Our speakers were: Nivé Dhanak of JBND Tax Books, Inc.; and Scott Darling of Re/Max Realtors.
1st Speaker: It’s tax time! Nivé presented information geared to small businesses in preparing their corporate tax return and to individuals with their personal tax return. She discussed a variety of tax strategies, including those that are commonly overlooked. Nive also helped clarify what is deductible and provided helpful tips for self-employed individuals (for e.g., 1099s). In addition, Nive offers a free analysis of your filing from last year as well as advice for your situation this year. A good lead for JBND is any small business or self-employed individuals with revenues of $50,000 to $10M+.
2nd Speaker: Scott D., our only residential realtor, shared his “roadmap” booklets: 1. For “Buying Your Home”; and 2. For “Selling Your Home.” Good leads for Scott include: 1. 1st time buyers (tax credit! - anyone who is engaged or about to be married); 2. move-up buyers (from townhouse to single-family home); 3. referrals (buyers or sellers, local or anywhere around the world); and 4. Anyone in financial difficulty and in a possible foreclosure situation (Scott is a Certified Distressed Property Expert and he can help!).
